Root Canal (Endodontic treatment)

What is a root canal?

When the carious lesion advanced to pulp chamber (chamber of the nerves), there is inflammation and infection happing on site. If this continues it will end on the bone and destroy the surroundings of the tooth. A root canal helps to remove this bacteria before it is too late and the tooth needs to be extracted. There are other reasons for this kind of therapy.

Root Canal Retreatment

Why is a Root canal retreatment needed?

Many reasons for a root canal retreatment, starting from a leak of bacteria into the endodontic material because of not sealing the tooth completely with a crown to very complex channels that could not be disinfected properly. In this case an apical surgery can be of great help to save the tooth.

Core build up & Fiber post

What is this?

After a root canal, the tooth needs to be sealed  at the working site which are the root canals, pulp chamber and dental  structure that was removed in order to have access to the last two.  After this is done a crown must be placed.
